Srinagar, May 28: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary today said that some elements are trying to harm Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Industry and take away local jobs, but the Government will not let them succeed.
Speaking at a public event in Gulmarg, Choudhary said that peace and hospitality still define Kashmir, which continues to attract tourists despite recent terror attack. There are people who want to destroy our tourism and our people’s employment but they will not succeed.
He added that Government of Jammu and Kashmir stands with its people and with India & Government under Omar Abdullah will always protect these interests.
Choudhary said the event was intended to send a message across the country and abroad that Jammu and Kashmir remains peaceful. If anyone wants to disturb the situation in J&K, they won’t succeed because our brotherhood and hospitality-especially that of Kashmir-are world-renowned.
He underlined the importance of the upcoming tourism season and the role of media. The next two to three months are crucial. Social media has great power. Let us spread positivity, not negativity.
