SAMBA, May 24: Director of Health Services, Jammu, Dr Abdul Hamid Zarger, undertook an official visit to the Chief Medical Officer’s Office in Samba to assess the state of healthcare services in the district, where he conducted a comprehensive review of the functioning of various health institutions across the district.
He engaged in detailed discussions with CMO Dr Vidhi Bhatial, Medical Superintendent, Block Medical Officers, nodal officers and other medical officials who provided valuable suggestions to enhance the implementation of healthcare programmes and strengthen institutional efficiency.
Zarger inspected the District Hospital (DH) Samba, where he assessed key operational areas including the emergency room, labour room, and the immunization section. He also visited a newly constructed hospital building and took note of its infrastructure and readiness for patient services.
Dr Zarger interacted with both medical staff and patients to gain first-hand insight into the challenges and experiences on the ground.
He emphasized the importance of patient satisfaction and efficient service delivery, reaffirming the department’s commitment to improving public healthcare in the region.
