Jammu, May 13: The District Magistrate of Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, has ordered a complete ban on the sale of petrol and diesel in bottles, cans, or any unauthorised containers across the district.

“Citing serious threats to public safety and potential fire hazards,” stating that petrol pumps and fuelling stations were reportedly selling fuel in such containers, which is illegal and dangerous. The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has come into immediate effect".
