KISHTWAR, MAY 03: To strengthen grassroots governance and address public concerns, Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal Pyare Lal Sharma convened a Public Outreach Program today at Dak Bunglow Chatroo-Block Inderwal.
The event witnessed active participation from residents of various panchayats, including members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities.
During the interaction, locals raised multiple grievances and demands, seeking Advertisement of seasonal teacher posts for Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, speedy completion of ongoing recruitment processes, restoration of damaged bridges in higher reaches causing inconvenience to nomadic communities, up-gradation of the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) post to Deputy Chief Education Officer (CEO), repair of damaged water pipelines, notification of transport fare for vehicles operating across the region.
Officials from the PMGSY Department informed the MLA that under PMGSY-IV, 15 new road projects are in the pipeline, of which 12 have already been vetted by the STA, NIT Srinagar through both offline and online modes. In his address, the MLA emphasized the need for enhanced tourism infrastructure in the region. He called for the revival and upgrading of tourist facilities in Chatroo and Mughal Maidan, including the proper functioning of the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC).
The MLA directed the R&B authorities to submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for proposed infrastructure initiatives at the earliest, to accelerate developmental activities in the constituency. The Program was attended by all Sub Divisional Level Officers,Social Worker Jaffer Bhawani and concerned staff.
