JAMMU, MAY 03: An awareness van was flagged off today here from the Deputy Commissioner’s Officer as part of a campaign to promote the Common Service Centres. (CSCs).
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who launched the awareness vehicle, highlighted the importance of reaching every corner of the district to ensure that citizens are informed about the services available at CSCs.
“The mission is to ensure that people are well-informed about these opportunities and can easily access them at their nearest CSC,” the DC said while addressing the gathering.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh, Senior Director IT & District Informatics Officer NIC Jammu Sanjeev Kapoor, along with various district officers and members of the public.
District Manager CSC, Bhawna Mahajan, elaborated on the range of services offered through CSCs.
“Common Service Centres serve as digital access points for a multitude of services, including Aadhaar enrollment and updates, PAN card applications, banking and financial services, insurance, utility bill payments, and applications for government certificates such as birth, death and income certificates,” she stated.
The awareness van will traverse various blocks and panchayats of the district over the coming weeks, disseminating information.
