Jammu based Bhavishya Academy’s enchanting event, “Kala Darpan 2025”



JAMMU, May 02: Jammu based Bhavishya Academy an Institute of Classical Dance, run by Ms. Parul Bhateja, a devoted disciple of Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj and Gauri Diwakar left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape with its enchanting event, “Kala Darpan 2025” in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir association of Arts, culture and languages (JKAACL).

The event was themed and dedicated to Lord Shiva (SWAYAMBHU). Dr. Javaid Rahi, Divisional Head (JKAACL) and Ms. Parul Bhateja , Director Bhavishya Academy hosted the show and the esteemed guests of the event. Sh. Yudvir Sethi (MLA Jammu East) along with Ms. Priya Sethi, Former Minister of State were the Chief Guests. Guests of Honour were Ms. Sheetal Nanda IAS (Commissioner / Secretary to Govt Deptt. Of Forest, Ecology and Environment) and Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh (Founding Chairperson – Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Educational Foundation). Sh. Nasib Singh was present as the special guest who did the lightening of the lamp along with Ms. Charu Bhateja.

The Kathak dance event which comprised multiple performances with live classical music was choreographed by Ms. Parul Bhateja (Director Bhavishya Academy). Her team consisted of renowned musicians- Sh. Suraj Singh ji, an A grade artist in Gazal and Head of department of vocal at Institute of music and fine arts, Sh. Rakesh Anand, All India Radio artist with more than 30 years of experience and Sh. Amit Anand, All India Radio A grade approved artist.

The event showcased various levels of Kathak by young and dynamic performers that blended the seamless singing of classical music to promote a classical and new take on the traditional Indian dance form. Our Guests and all the classical art lovers and enthusiasts present at the convention center loved and praised this unique event.
