Jammu, May 1, 2025 In a heartfelt tribute to the contribution of the working class on behalf of SSP Jammu, SP South celebrated International Labour Day with the labourers at Narwal, reaffirming the commitment of Jammu Police to
community engagement and inclusive policing.
The event was headed by SP South and joined by SDPO East, SHO Police Station Bahu Fort, and SHO Police Station Channi Himmat. The team interacted closely with the labourers, listened to their grievances, and acknowledged their invaluable role in building the local economy. In his address, SP South lauded the dedication and hard work of the labour force, stating that the day is about recognizing the strength, resilience, and dignity of work.
The hands that build our cities and move our economy deserve our respect, protection, and support. Officers also spoke about the importance of labour rights, health awareness, and police assistance for vulnerable communities. The SP South emphasized that the police stations in the South Zone remain approachable and responsive to the needs of every segment of society, especially the daily wage earners and labourers who often face hardship in silence.
The celebration concluded on a note to build stronger community-police ties, ensuring safety, dignity, and welfare for all citizens, especially those at the grassroots level. Jammu Police continues to stand not only as a force of law but also as a pillar of social unity and empowerment.
