Jammu, Apr 28: Vide Government Order No. 20 -JK(HE) of Dated. 28 -04-2025 Govt ordered for Acceptance of resignation of Assistant Professor: Termination of probation thereof. copy with CTN reads as under:-
Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has vide letter No. PSC/DR-HE/APChemistry/2023 dated 30-09-2024 forwarded the select list for the posts of Assistant Professor (Chemistry) and had recommended the names of 36 candidates for their appointment in the said subject in the Higher Education Department, wherein among others name of Ms. Aditi Gupta was figuring at Serial No.3 of the said list under O.M Category;
and Whereas, Ms. Aditi Gupta was appointed as Assistant Professor (Chemistry) vide Government Order No. 544-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 02-12-2024 among others and had joined with the Nodal Principal, Jammu on 10-12-2024 (F.N);
and Whereas, vide Government Order No. 95-JK(HE) of 2025 dated 25.02.2025, Ms. Aditi Gupta, Assistant Professor (Chemistry) was posted in the Government Degree College, Kathua against an available vacancy;
and Whereas, Ms. Aditi Gupta has submitted her resignation through an email to the Nodal Principal, Jammu in view of health grounds w.e.f. 27-02-2025 for acceptance;
and Whereas, the Nodal Principal, Jammu forwarded the resignation of Ms. Aditi Gupta, Assistant Professor (Chemistry) to this Department for acceptance;
and Whereas, the matter has been considered with reference to the rules governing the subject and it has been found that the said Faculty Member is still on probation, on account of which, she is liable to be discharged from the service by termination of her probation in terms of Rule 21(1)(b) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, on her own request.
Now therefore, in terms of Rule 21(1)(b) of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, the probation of Ms. Aditi Gupta, who was appointed as Assistant Professor (Chemistry), in the Higher Education Department, is hereby terminated on her own request and she is discharged from the respective service w.e.f. 27-02-2025 and the post is declared as lien free.
