In a continued effort to enhance road safety and minimize traffic violations, the Motor Vehicles Department Kishtwar has taken stringent action against repeated offenders.
Acting under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan and as per the directions of the Transport Commissioner J&K, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, the department has intensified its enforcement drive across the district.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Tasleem Wani today suspended the route permits of three vehicles for a period of three months under Section 86(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Additionally, 11 driving licenses have been suspended under Sections 19(1)(d) and 19(1)(f), while 20 vehicles have been blacklisted for habitual and serious traffic violations.
The vehicles with registration numbers JK17-7454, JK17-1769, and JK17A-1020 have been debarred from operating for the suspension period due to their continued involvement in violations that pose a threat to public safety.
