Srinagar, Mar 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority has issued a high-danger avalanche warning for areas above 2400 meters in Bandipora and Kupwara districts.
The advisory remains in effect for the next 24 hours, cautioning residents and travelers against venturing into avalanche-prone zones.
Considering the current snow conditions, it has warned that the avalanche risk is likely to persist for the next few days, so people living in higher reaches are advised to take necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary movement.
The administration has also requested people to follow weather updates and heed official advisories to prevent any untoward incidents.
