JAMMU, Nov 3:To check the menace of illicit distillation of liquor bootlegging and illegal smuggling of liquor, the department of Excise has intensified raids in villages of Kathua and Samba.During various raids by the teams headed by ETO Kathua Sandeep Kumar and ETO Eradication and Enforcement Wing, Jammu Yudhvir Padha, about 1,200 kg of Lahan was destroyed and ten bottles of illicit liquor were also recovered during the raid. The department has warned that strict action under law shall be taken against those found indulging in such illegal practices.
