Jammu, January 9: Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K UT, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Shah, and District Development Commissioner Jammu Sh Sachin Kumar Vaishya IAS conducted a detailed review of the ongoing JJM works in District Jammu.
During the meeting, the Superintending Engineer apprised the chair of the progress in implementing JJM.
Detailed Presentation regarding ongoing schemes and Target sets for completion by March 2025 was presented during the meeting Mission Director JJM emphasized the importance of completing all pending schemes and achieving 100% "Har Ghar Jal" certification for covered villages.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sh. Sachin kumar Vaishya IAS instructed AEEs and JEs to address site-specific issues promptly and expedite work to meet the stipulated deadlines. Key directives were issued to accelerate Drilling of Tubewells,procurement and installation of machinery, construction of Overhead Tanks (OHTs), pump rooms, and pipe laying activities.
The chair urged all stakeholders to work on a war footing to achieve the set targets and ensure seamless implementation of JJM in District Jammu.
The review meeting was attended by Sh Bodhraj Bhagat Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Jammu, Sh Sunil Gandotra Superintending Engineer Mech Urban circle jammu ,Consultants (Civil and Mechanical), Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Junior Engineers (Civil and Mechanical), DPMU Jammu and TPI representatives.
