JAMMU,Oct 23: Tension arose at Bhaderwah town in Jammu region on Thursday evening over allegations that miscreants desecrated the Quran.
Shops, public transport, businesses and educational institutions remained closed after Muslim community alleged that during Dussehra celebrations in the town miscreants burnt pages of the Quran.
Today on Friday, Muslim youth took to the streets, burnt tyres and blocked traffic on the roads. Authorities said the situation is under control and the allegation are being probed.
