SRINAGAR, June 27: Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare, Sheetal Nanda, today convened a public darbar at Srinagar here to assess and address the diverse issues and concerns faced by the local populace.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, with representatives from various segments of society, civil society, various associations and other prominent citizens. The participants raised several grievances and demands concerning their respective areas and sought an early redressal of the same.
Sheetal gave on spot directions to the officers to strictly adhere to stipulated norms and timelines for effective follow-up and redressal of public grievances.
She emphasized her commitment towards addressing the raised issues in alignment with the existing protocols and regulations.
She said that no Government official can show any incompetence in working on grievances as the motive of starting this unique initiative of Public Darbar is ensuring immediate redressal of people’s grievances.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, HoDs along with other officers were present on the occasion.
