Srinagar, April 07: Reports said that eight people including three army troopers has been killed as avalanches hit different areas and extreme downpour caused minor floods in some parts of J&K.
Reports added that father & son from Kargil were buried in avalanche, a minor girl in Kupwara was drowned, a woman in Rajouri was struck by lightning, while another man was drowned in Kokernag area, when the vehicle he was travelling in plunged into the river. Another man is still missing in Kokernag area.
Three army men were killed in Batalik sector in Ladakh region, as multiple avalanches hit the army post on Thursday.
