Motihari, March 07: Today about 500 huts were gutted after a fire broke out at Paschimi Sundarapur panchayat in Bihar's Champaran district, reports said.
Property worth several lakhs was gutted. However, no loss of life has been reported so for. The incident took place in Malahi tola where the fire broke out in the kitchen of one of the huts. Aided by strong winds, the fire engulfed the other adjacent houses, reports said. However fire tenders has brought the fire under control now.
