J&K Public hopeful of actions in Todays meeting on Gair mumkin khad

Rajesh Gupta

Jammu, April 27: Non compliance of LG/C's own Administrative Councils Decision No 17/1/2022 dtd 29th Jan 2022 by which time bound instructions were issued, which was followed by G.O. No 18-JK(Rev) of 2022 dtd 4th Feb 2022 but today 27 months have lapsed but outpu is especially negligible in district Jammu.

It is to mention here that high level meeting on the issue of "Gair Mumkin Khad Lands" is taking place today  at 3.30 PM.

There is need to see if DC Kathua & Samba have cleared big chunk of lands under the head, why not in Jammu, where innocents living in thick populated areas of Sainik Colony, Greater Kailash, Deeli, Channi Rama etc etc neither can sell nor purchase houses/lands nomenclature a Gair Mumkin Khad Lands causing loss of crores to State Exchequer by way of Stamp Duty FEE & OTHER TAXES ON THE FAULT OF DCs/REVENUE OFFICERS, needed to be acted upon.

It is also a question on JKUT Govt that they are clearing such lands for allotment to Industries only but why not Private Lands, which otherwise is clear cut violation of Art 14 & 16 of Constitution of India.

Above all it is to mention here that on the complaint of Rajesh Gupta, Managing Editor, CROSS TOWN NEWS, over the said harassment LG OFFICE sought detailed report from Secretary, Revenue with reminders but nothing positive has been observed on ground except communications from Secretary to Div Com & thereafter from Div Com  to DCS & STORY CONTINUED Till TODAY but outcome is negligible .

It is also to mention here that if concerned agency which is doing survey of such sites has not been paid despite recommendations made by DCs for allotment of funds, how Govt is expecting the outcome, needed to be acted upon for surrendering crores allotted for the said issue for the year 22-23.

However, copy of Administrative Councils Decision & Govt order & clarification by then DC Jammu, which clearly reads about no any ban on such lands but not bothered.
