SRINAGAR: A video of suspected Kashmiri militants playing cricket went viral on social media on Thursday.
The five-minute-long video shows five young men playing cricket in what appears to be an orchard.
They use an AK47 as the bowler's wicket.
The video (above) appears to have been shot in south Kashmir.
The video is propaganda, which the militancy in Kashmir has used to powerful effect. (WION)

MUMBAI: Actor Anupam Kher has expressed anger over a video that showed an Indian security personnel exercising restraint despite being attacked by a Kashmiri youth.
“Had the soldiers wanted, they could have easily thrashed the youth. What is even more shameful is that some people are trying to cover up the crimes of the youth in the valley under the shroud of human rights, saying they are misled. I agree majority of them do not think the same way about our soldiers but when a video like this goes viral, it is very important to react because it makes me livid.” Anupam said in a video posted on Twitter.

SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah posted a video and a picture of Indian Army personnel allegedly using youth as human shield on their vehicles to protect themselves from stone pelters.
Omar Abdullah, a leader of National Conference, alleged that security forces are using Kashmiri youths as human shield to teach a lesson to stone pelters.
Omar Abdullah tweeted “This young man was TIED to the front of an army jeep to make sure no stones were thrown at the jeep? This is just so shocking!” tw
Omar further tweetd “Here’s the video as well. A warning can be heard saying stone pelters will meet this fate. This requires an urgent inquiry and follow up,” added Abdullah.

SRINAGAR: In what could be termed an unwanted video, CRPF men in Kashmir show patience even after being hit & abused by protesters.
In the video CRPF men were hit and abused and they did not retaliate for the sake of peace in valley.

Srinagar, April 12: The seven parliament candidates for Srinagar who were in the fray of by-polls on Wednesday jointly called for boycott in the re-polls, slated to be held on Thursday for 38 polling stations.
The candidates said that they won’t let their brothers to die.
The seven candidates including state president of Rashtriya Jankranti Party (RJP), Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha leader, Chetan Sharma, Rashtriya Samajwadi Party (Secular) leader, Engineer Sajad Reshi and Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Bikram Singh, besides three independent candidates, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Ghulam Hassan Dar, Mehraj Rashid Malik held a joint press conference today at a local hotel here.
Mirza Sajad while talking to the reporters said that they were not taken into the confidence before taking the decision the re-polling in 38 polling stations.
He said that they tried to meet the returning officer and Chief Election Officer to register their protest but unfortunately the officers were not present.
Saying that it is not an election but selection, Mirza Sajad said, “The people are being befooled with such exercises. We appeal the people to stay at their homes and don’t cast the ballots as we won’t let our brothers to die intentionally. The unfortunate incident that took place on Apr 09 was painful.”
He questioned that if the atmosphere is not conducive for the polls in Anantnag then how come it is conducive for the 38 polling stations which witnessed violent protests on Apr 09.
Mirza Sajad said, “The government is putting the lives of Kashmiris at risk through this re-polling. The fingers are being raised at the credibility of ECI for postponing the polls on the request of PDP candidate.”
He said that the unlike Jammu, the protesters here are being targeted with the bullets, which expose the Government of India’s policy towards Kashmir. (PTK)

One of the reader of Cross Town News was a victim at the hand of retailer.
The victim had sent the video along with a communication to Cross Town News and felt displeasure over the act as it could have harmed him.
The Victim namely Kanav Vaid, who is a responsible citizen of Jammu communicated " Go through the video and first you can spot one insect at the bottom right side of the packet and the next one is clearly visible crawling at the centre below the MRP
I have already made up my mind to complain about this in the consumer court as they have been guilty of selling things in the past."
The concerned department should look into the matter and Retailer should see that such an act is not repeated again and again for the safety of customers.
