JAMMU, Mar 19:  J&K Government has terminated the services of Dr Amit Kumar, registrar at Government medical college Jammu for his Facebook post violating the recently issued SRO 525 which bars a government employee from writing on social media against the government.

A simple question needs to be asked here is that whether decision of removing Dr Amit Kumar for speaking truth is  ethical ?

Even Former CM Omar Abdullah launched a scathing attack on PDP-BJP government in the state over sacking of a doctor over his Facebook post.

Omar tweetd “All the doctor did was point out that the lift the health minister claimed to have inaugurated was actually an old lift & for that he was removed from his post of Registrar”.
