GANDERBAL, FEB 24: District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, conducted a surprise inspection of District Hospital Ganderbal and various Primary Health Centres in the district during intervening night of February 24 and 25.
The DDC visited District Hospital Ganderbal, PHC Kachan, Primary PHC Batwina and PHC Wakura to take stock of their functioning and availability of patient care during night hours.
He inspected various wards of these healthcare institutions and interacted with patients and attendants to enquire about medicare facilities. During the inspection, the DDC placed ECG Operator at PHC Kachan and a Female Multipurpose Health Worker at PHC Wakura under suspension for remaining unauthorizedly absent from duty.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the doctors and paramedics to work with added zeal and remain eveready to meet any kind of emergency.
He also directed the concerned to ensure cleanliness in and around the healthcare institutions of the district.
