Baseer conducts city tour, inspects development works

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 25: Divisional commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmed Khan, today conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar City and reviewed the progress of various ongoing developmental works.

 During the tour, the Div Com visited Amar Singh College to inspect the ongoing construction on new blocks of the College being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 20.86 crore. He was informed that the work would be completed by October 2017.

The Divisional Commissioner also visited under construction SPS Library, MA Road and directed the concerned to expedite the work to ensure its timely completion. He was informed that construction will be completed by the end of this July. Later, he also visited SPS Museum, Lal Mandee and reviewed the development of newly constructed building.

While taking review of the construction of the Bailey bridge at Mehjoor Nagar, he was informed that the construction will be completed in few days and the bridge would be ready to use by March 1. He asked the officials to speed up the pace of construction of concrete bridge at Mehjoor Nagar for its time bound completion.

The Div Com also inspected ongoing development work sites including TRC Grade Separator   and Rambagh where the construction of flyover is going on. He directed the officials to speed up the work to facilitate effective regulation of traffic movement.
