Minister greets people on Mahashivratri

KATHUA, FEBRUARY 24: Minister of Forest, Environment and Ecology Choudhary Lal Singh has greeted people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Shivratri. The Minister joined the Shivratri celebrations at Brahma Kumari Centre here.

The Minister also prayed for peace and tranquility and hoped the state to usher in a new era of goodwill among all sections of the society.

In his greeting message, the Minister said the celebration of the festival reminds people of the bonds of brotherhood and harmony and symbolizes the composite culture of the State. He said the festival symbolizes love and amity, adding these values should be upheld at all costs. Wishing happy and prosperous Mahashivratri, to all the sections of the society, the Minister prayed that the day would bring all-round development and peace in the State.

Earlier B K Veena Didi, Director of the Brahma Kumaris Centre of Kathua stressed the need for propagation of moral and ethical values in life for which Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vidyalaya is providing free services to the mankind through over 9000 centres spread across the globe. She added that Brahma Kumaris organization has consultative status with the United Nations Organization.
