CS reviews implementation status of Rs 80068 cr PM's Development Package for JK

           JAMMU, FEBRUARY 17: Chief Secretary, B R Sharma Friday reviewed the implementation status of the Rs 80068 crore PM's Development Package-2015 for Jammu and Kashmir in a meeting with Administrative Secretaries.

          As many as 63 projects have been approved under PMDP-2015 under various sectors. 

          Chief Secretary received detailed brief from the concerned Administrative Secretaries about the latest implementation status of the projects and urged them to expedite all issues especially related to land acquisition and utilization of funds. 

          "Departments should ensure resolution of land acquisition issues and handing over of land, free of all encumbrances to the implementing agencies at the earliest," the Chief Secretary said. 

          Major development projects  including AIIMSs, IIM, IIT, Pakal Dul Power Project, 16 Road Projects including ring road in Jammu & Srinagar, Zojila Tunnel, 4 Laning of National Highway, Comprehensive Plan for Flood Management works on Jhelum and its tributaries etc are being funded under PMDP-2015.

          The Union Ministry of Home Affairs is regularly monitoring and consolidating the progress of PMDP-2015 and sending periodical report to the PMO.
