BARAMULA, Jan 22: Baramulla's Ishfaq Hamid, was among the 19 children who were honoured with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PM RBP) by President, Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi today. Resident of Kreeri, Baramulla, 12-year-old Ishfaq Hamid has become a maestro of Rabab and Matka at the young age.
Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, took to micro blogging site X, formerly Twitter, to encourage the young maestro for his achievements in the field of art and culture. He wrote: “Congratulations to young maestro Ishfaq Hamid on winning Pradhan Mantri Rasthriya Bal Puraskar! Your achievements in the field of art & culture have brought immense pride to J&K. May your success continue to inspire others to pursue their artistic passion.”
