JAMMU: Twenty six Police personnel were decorated with Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Services and Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry (SKPMG) respectively on 68th Republic Day by the State Government.
Among them four officers Additional DG Armed J&K Lalat Indu Mohanti, IGP Jammu Zone Danesh Rana,. Dr Mohammad Haseeb Mughal, AIG Welfare/ Personnel, J&K and Fayaz Ahmed Banday Inspector were conferred Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Services.
Among the 22 Police personnel who were conferred with Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry included, S Jatinder Singh, SSP, Mr Sandeep, S P South Srinagar, Mohan Lal Sharma, , Mohammed Saleem Bhat, Sagra Singh, Ajay Sharma and Mir Murtaza Hussian Sohil (all DySPs), Ashiq Hussain, Inspector, Shahid Amin Khosa, Zahoor Ahmed Wani , Mohammed Hafiz and Gowhar Ahmed Bhat, (all SIs), Arfat Ahmed Rather, Gulsheraz Ahmed and Mohammad Taj (all Selection Grade), Dar Niyaz Hameed, Pawan Kumar, Tanveer Ahmed Bhat, Mohammed Ishaq Dass, and Danish Nazir Wani (all constables) were also conferred with Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry.
