KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray had a surprise visit of NTPHC Chowgol during the late hours of Sunday night.
During the visit, the DC inspected different sections/wards of the hospital and took stock of the facilities available in the hospital.
He also interacted with the staff available in the hospital as well as with the patients and attendants and received first hand information with regard to facilities.
The DC took a serious note of non-functioning of the Labour Room in the NTPHC. He also inspected the Duty Roster and checked the attendance of the staff.
He called for an explanation from the BMO for his non-presence in the hospital.
The DC stressed upon the health officials to work religiously to serve the patients, adding that the people from far off areas come to health institutions with the hope to get the best health care and proper treatment.
