Jammu, Jan 10: The vehicular traffic on Batote-Kishtwar road has been suspended as a precautionary measure after fresh snowfall in the Chenab valley region.
Reports said that after clear weather for more than 24 hrs, fresh snowfall has thrown life out of motion in the region.
Earlier, after improvement in the weather, both the Highways NH1 and NH1B were made open for one-way vehicular traffic. As of now, all kinds of stranded vehicles are moving towards Jammu smoothly and by 2 pm about 500 heavy and light vehicles from Doda and Kishtwar districts have crossed Batote, reporter said.(Agency inputs)
