Kathua clashes turned heat in JK assembly

JAMMU, Jan 10: Kathua clashes  between two communities in which nine persons, including five cops  were injured rocked the state assembly when independent MLA Er Rashid asked the House where the Muslims of the region would go.

Other  lawmakers from NC, Congress also got involved in the discussion.

Rashid  asked the House that it must suggest the Muslims of the region where they would go.

This led to the entire opposition unite and seeked a response on this

Ministers Abdul Rehman Veeri and Lal Singh tried to intervene  but they were  stopped from giving  any detail on the incident.

“Why is Kathua witnessing such incidents quite often?, Last year it was one incident and now it is boiling again. ”  MLA Mian Altaf asked.

Mal Banihal  Vikar Rasool said "Coalition leaders in the area have been telling  that they are from RSSand have a right to do what they do but recently many people from the area were vacated from the lands they have been inhibiting for a long time."

Opposition MLAs  shouted  slogans “communal sarkar, hai hai” and later walked out.
