CBI registers case against Public Servants of Enemy Property & others causing huge loss to Govt


New Delhi, June 17: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered four separate cases on complaint from Assistant Custodian of Enemy Property for India, Lucknow on the allegations of causing huge loss to Govt Exchequer by leasing out prime value lands/properties on forged documents.

Two separate cases were registered against total 22 accused including then Public Servants of Enemy Property (Govt of India) & private persons etc. alleging that the said Public Servants in conspiracy with private persons caused huge loss to Govt Exchequer by leasing out commercial land situated in District Sitapur, Barabanki, Lucknow at nominal rates in favour of lessees and also manipulating & forging the documents.

The total land included in both cases was 54 hectare (approx.) Searches were conducted today in both these cases at 19 locations including at Lucknow, Barabanki, Delhi, Kolkata at the premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents. Cash of Rs. 82 lakh (approx) was recovered from one of the beneficiaries.

Other two separate cases were registered against 31 accused including then Public Servants/private persons, alleging that the said Public Servants in conspiracy with private persons caused huge financial loss to Government Exchequer by leasing out large tracts of prime high value land, measuring about 17 Hectares, located at Noida Extension, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Kasganj etc..

It was further alleged that the said land were given at very nominal rentals, allowing illegal constructions by private builders and also forging Lease Agreements in the matter of Enemy Properties. Searches were conducted in both these cases at 21 locations including at Delhi, Kolkata, Ghaziabad, Kasganj, Bulandshahar, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar etc. at the premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents.
