JAMMU: Former State Chief Minister and President of National Conference Farooq Abdullah on Thursday dropped another bomb shell by claiming, “10 PDP legislators were ready to join National Conference but I refused them entry in my party”.
Â
Responding to the allegations levelled by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that National Conference was scheming to destabilise BJP-PDP alliance Government, Farooq Abdullah said, “I want to convey this to Mehbooba Mufti that 10 PDP MLAs were ready to join our party but I told them clearly that I don’t want to entertain this ‘aaya ram gaya ram’ style of politics". He told reporters, “I am making this revelation in front of you but I cannot disclose names of 10 PDP MLA’s who were ready to join my party”.
Â
Referring to Mehbooba Mufti’s father Abdullah said, “It was her late father Mufti Mohd Sayeed who always played the game of buying and selling MLA’s. Even in 2002 when we had 28 MLA’s and he had 16 MLA’s in his kitty, he tried to buy our MLA’s. Let Mehbooba Mufti prove that Farooq Abdullah ever bought or sold a MLA”.
