Forest Dept to introduce wildlife safari services in Srinagar city forests: Lal Singh

SRINAGAR, Nov 16: To give flip to the adventure tourism and attract wildlife lovers across the State, the Department of Forest, Environment and Ecology has proposed to introduce safari services in the city forest areas.

 Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology, Choudhary Lal Singh today said the Department was proposing to launch the wildlife safari services in city forests for attracting adventure tourism to the eco-friendly State.

He informed that he has directed officials of the department to make necessary surveys and studies in this regard for successful implementation of the project.

“Launching of Safari services in city forest areas will surely give boost to the adventure tourism in the State,” he said. 

“I have asked the officials to make necessary arrangements and studies for its successful implementation,” he said. He said that those visiting Srinagar can explore this eco-tourism site in wildlife safari service. 

He said that the introduction of wildlife safari buses in Srinagar will help restrict the movement of private vehicles to such eco-friendly areas and the tourists and locals would get a best possible view and sight of the areas and its wildlife and their habitat.
