SRINAGAR, Nov 15: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday dismissed some policemen for showing cowardice during weapon-snatching by militants, reports said.
“Most of these policemen were found guilty of cowardice during weapon snatching incidents by militants," reports said
“In other cases where the deployed guards fired even one shot in retaliation, weapon snatching by militants was thwarted. One of our brave policeman lost his life while resisting such an attempt by militants,” Top Police offficer reportedly said.
“It was, therefore, decided to dismiss from service some policemen who had been found guilty of showing cowardice,” he added.(Inputs from Agencies)
