New Delhi, November 11 : Managing Director J&K State Industrial Development Corporation (J&K SIDCO) today discussed issues relating to revival of Industrial Sector all across the board and J&K in particular during Annual General meeting and Executive Committee meeting of Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (COSIDICI) held here today. Lot of important decisions were arrived at in this meeting wherein even new President and Board of COSIDICI was elected and annual returns and accounts of the Corporation were also accepted.

COSIDICI is the apex body of all State Financial Corporations (SFCs) and State Industrial Development Corporations (SIDCs) of the nation and MD, J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma was first time since its creation about 50 year ago was elected as its National Vice-President last year and he was again re-elected as its National Vice-President this year due to active contributions and role being played for COSIDICI since last year. Smita Bharadwaj, MD, MP SFC was unanimously elected as President of COSIDICI for next term.

Apart from this, MD J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma mentioned about vital role of COSIDICI in helping the cause of SIDCOs while pushing things here with various Central Bodies such as EXIM Bank, SIDBI, DIPP, etc. During various rounds of deliberations and brainstorming sessions, talks were held on revival of sick and struggling industries falling under various SIDCs and SFCs on various states of the nation.
Various other measures such as initiation of awareness campaigns, essay-competitions, creation of various Award Categories for upcoming Award Ceremony of COSIDICI and several other important issues were discussed in today’s AGM and Executive Body Meeting.

Before concluding the meetings, it was also decided that the next Award Ceremony cum AGM will be held in Indore between January last week and February first week of 2017 for which MP SFC will take the lead role as J&K SIDCO had done last year. During the AGM, it was also placed on record lot of appreciation for MD, J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma for making a laudable effort and organising a highly successful maiden Award Ceremony last year in Jammu. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks and taking Industrial Development to new heights through multiple efforts of COSIDICI in times to come.
