He said that the Modi led government at the centre has failed to fulfill a single commitment with the people and has brought miseries for the common man due to unprecedented price hike in the country.

The PCC Chief said that two power hungry forces in the state (PDP & BJP) having nothing common in their ideology, have joined hands for the sake of power leaving aside all important commitments with the people of the state. He said that both the coalition partners have fail to honor the vital commitments for which they secured their respective mandate. Both the coalition partners have betrayed their electorate as a result the people each and every section of the society are suffering and are disappointed over the functioning of this government. The border residents are suffering due to unprecedented incidents of ceasefire violations resulting into loss of lives and property forcing people to migrate. The Centre and State Govt. failed to fulfill the commitment for safe shelter to them in the shape of plots and bunkers. The displaced people and refugees of 1947, 65, 71 have been neglected, the farmers are facing great hardships, the unemployed youth and other daily wagers, casual workers besides employees and pensioners are agitating on roads for their genuine demands, the Kashmiri migrants are facing hardships on various accounts including ration, the SC & tribal people are agitating for their rights. The government has failed to provide ration as per scale and people are suffering for the last one and half years. There is unprecedented hike in the prices of all commodities. The ex-servicemen have been betrayed and committing suicide for One Rank One Pension (OROP) and the Modi Govt. is behaving in insensitive  and undemocratic manner detaining the family members of the martyred Ram Kishan Grewal and AICC Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi.

He described the coalition government as total failure on all fronts and causing unrest and untold miseries to each and every section of the society due to its wrong policies and assured the people that Congress would continue to play its role of a responsible and vibrant opposition to highlight the failures of the government and make it accountable to the people of the state. He said that Congress is committed to strengthen the secular fabric of the state and to seek equitable development of three regions and all parts of the state.
