JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Minister Bali Bhagat on Thursday lashed out both at Congress and PDP that both the outfits are behind the prevailing unrest in J&K.
In a hard hitting statement, the former minister said that Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru presented terrorism and separatism to people of the country by mishandling Kashmir situation during partition and the PDP, which is an offspring of Hurriyat is playing in its hands just to satiate its petty political interests without caring about the detrimental impact which this party has caused to the country by swaying people through propagating anti-India thought in Valley and elsewhere in the UT of J&K.
The senior BJP leader said that pages of history depicting last over 70 years in India without any doubt points towards the misdeeds of Congress and its leadership’s deceit and deception and above all the mistreatment of the aboriginals living there since ages until they were thrown out of their homes and hearths in early 1990s. He said that it is astonishing that now when the PM Modi led government is making things straight by undoing the misdeeds both these parties in collaboration with NC are opposing the government tooth and nail as if they are not interested in the development and peace in the Valley.
Looking into the dismal state of affairs of the UT of J&K and dilapidated infrastructure, Bali Bhagat said that one thing is sure that funds which were pumped in J&K since independence have never been spent on development or the purpose for which they were routed here rather the brigade comprising Congress, NC and PDP besides their ilk siphoned the same to their own personal chests to lead an autocratic life without giving a thought to the plight of common man who actually faced the brunt.
“The Congress’ and PAGD’s stiff opposition to BJP’s people centric policies is the testimony to the fact that their shops have been shut in the Valley and they have become jobless and looking for new options to again loot the people and the country on a new pretext as all the earlier ones have been badly exposed by the BJP Government,” a senior BJP leader said.
