Govt to establish 40 Khelo -India Centers in all districts of J&K: LG J&K

Srinagar, August 5: LG Jammu and Kashmir  Manoj Sinha said that Goverment  to establish 40 Khelo -India Centers in all districts of JKUT to give fuurther impetus to supporting culture.

LG announced Rs 5 lakh cash award for Rakesh Kumar, Archer from Katra, Reasi who has qualified for Tokyo Paralympics, scheduled to be held from 24th August 2021. Likewise, Rs 2 lakh cash award for our renowned Rifle Shooter, Chain Singh from Doda.

He further said that 22 coaches already appointed to train & mentor the next generation of ports persons.

Further under PMDP, 44 Coaches & 22  Instructors will be recruited in different disciplines.

With Rs 513 crore allocated budget, the Department of Youth Services & Sports shall continue providing sustained handholding to the young budding sportspersons of the UT & lay a solid platform for them to display their talent at higher levels.

Principal Secretary YSS Alok Kumar and Secretray Sports Council J&K Nuzhat Gul were there on occasion.
