PDA sensitises Tourists, visitors about do’s and don’ts at Patnitop but building permissions?

UDHAMPUR, JULY 19: For the effective implementation of Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, an awareness drive was organized by Patnitop Development Authority to sensitise the visitors and tourists about do’s and don’ts.

Land Owners have said , it is a question that PDA that despite charging development charges from Housing Corporation in 2006 refused to allow for even compound walls raised a pointer towards him by saying that as per Master Plan of PDA of 2000 no building permissions can be accorded for plots less than 6 marla but corporatio had sold plots of size even 3 marla & 5 marlas & by his actions what shall be the fate of innocents?

Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary, Tourism was tried to contact but he did not answer the calls.

However, on today just to come in media the officers and officials of PDA and magistrates deployed by District Administration Udhampur and Ramban sensitized the tourists and other visitors to follow the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour viz wearing face masks, maintaining social distance, washing hands regularly and strictly adhering to government directives.

Chief Executive Officer, PDA, Sher Singh stated that the COVID testing teams were also deputed by the district administration Udhampur and Ramban at various locations.

He added that checking at various Nakas for maintaining appropriate COVID behaviour was also conducted by the teams of PDA and other officers/officials deputed by the twin district administrations, while the people found without masks were fined. He said that the checking teams were deployed at Patnitop Chowk, Nathatop, Sanasar, Circular Road, Patnitop, Kud, Chenani etc.

Mostly the tourists and other visitors were found maintaining the COVID appropriate Behaviour. He further said that the drive shall continue till further orders.
