19th CHHARI MUBARAK YATRA flagged off by Adv Ishant Gupta



JAMMU, JULY 16: The 19th Chhari Mubarak Yatra of Mata Chamunda Devi Ji from Rameshwar Mandhir, Pacca Talab, Bahu Fort, Jammu to Sarvadhar, Pogal Paristan, Ramban, today flagged off by Advocate Ishant Gupta BJP J&K State Head / Incharge Information Technology (IT) Department in presence of the organizers Kr. Rajeev Charak President Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC), Baldevraj Nagotra Chairman BFDC, General Secretary BFDC Raghav Mahajan, Vice Presidents BFDC Krishan Lal Sharma & Anuradha Charak, and Bahadur Lal President Sayara Sabbha. 

The yatra commenced with the traditional Pooja and was participated by hundreds of yatris from Jammu following all the COVID SOP’s and many from other districts like Ramban, Doda, Bhaderwah, will accompany them for the holy Darshan of Mata Chamunda Ji.

Advocate Ishant Gupta, While Speaking on the departure occasion, first of all congratulates the organizers to take initiative to successfully organize such a type of yatra every year. He said that we all know that our city is known as “City of Temples”, so these holy yatras will be beneficiary at large as it will promote the message of brotherhood and also develop peace between peoples from different areas irrespective of their religion. Gupta further added that he prays to God to fulfil all the dreams and wishes of the people and also keeps his blessings on the people so that the brotherhood may continue to exist among people on the earth and everyone can live happily. Gupta further appeals to all the yatris to follow all COVID SOP’s during the yatra.

Kr. Rajeev Charak said that first of all appeal to all the yatris to follow SOPs and wear masks. He said that they will organize Chhari Mubarak Yatra to Sarvadhar, Pogal Paristan, Ramban every year from 2003 onwards and it was around 18th successful yatra they have organized so far and today going to commence 19th Chhari Yatra. He said that this can be possible only with blessings of Maa Chamunda Devi and also by the contribution of all the yatris. He appealed to His Excellency The Governor of J&K to assure regular basic necessities like electricity, drinking water and mainly shelter for yatris and also said that it is the largest holy Yatra of District Ramban and it must be developed as a tourist and pilgrimage spot.

Baldev Raj Nargotra said that the Chhari Mubharak Yatra every year commenced from the holy place of Maa Bawe Wali to the holy Place of Pogal Paristan Ramban, started in year 2003 with very few yatris but now with the blessings of Mata Rani and with the best efforts of the organizers and their volunteers, thousands of yatris took participated in this from different districts of Jammu Region.

Bahadur Lal said that these type of yatras brings positivity among the people and he said that this year if we are successful in fighting against the COVID to some extent only due to the blessings of Mata Rani and also by the sincerity of yatris who plan to travel Jammu every year in large number to perform darshans in the holy shrines of our city. He prays Mata Rani that the deadly virus is soon going to be wiped out completely from the society and people will start living happily as before.
