SAMBA, JULY 12: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today reviewed the progress and pendency under various schemes pertaining to the school education sector here at a meeting of heads of educational institutions and officers of the department.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed implementation of scholarship schemes, status of Information Communication Technology & Computer aided Learning (ICT & CAL), installation of solar panels in schools, incomplete works under Samagra scheme, functioning of vocational trade centres in schools besides other general issues like infrastructure needs, etc were also taken up. Emphasis was laid upon ensuring that all checklist regarding scholarships in a compendium are circulated among stakeholders for minimizing deficient forms.
The DC said handholding approach is must in assisting students, while extending to them benefits of scholarships.
Stress was also laid on efficient functioning of vocational trade centres for developing technical skills among students.
The expediting of development works under Samagara and other schemes was also stressed upon.
