Jammu, June 20: In a anti encroachment drive, team of Jammu Forest Division on Monday removed encroachment over 5 Kanals of Forest land falling in Compartment No: 65/B of Village Dwara and dismantled two tin sheds in an anti encroachment drive illegally raised by Hashim Din, son of Shabh Din and Tahir, son of Fazal Din resident of Dwara.
As per press release, upon the request of Forest Department, Anshul Garg Deputy Commissioner Jammu & Chandan Kohli, SSP Jammu have deputed Shiv Kumar Naib Tehsildar, as Duty Magistrate and Police personnel led by Vikram Kumar SDPO & Kirti Sharma Inspector SHO Bagh-e-Bahu to tackle law and order situation.
Despite resistance the situation was handled with the assistance of police and two illegal tin sheds constructed on forest land was dismantled and 5 Kanal of Forest land was retrieved.
Further, the forest area was also secured by fencing and plantation .
