Yoga is the best preventive therapy for depression, addiction : SSP Benam Tosh

            Kathua, June 24: International Yoga Day -2021 was observed  at IRP 19th Battalion Headquarters, Kathua today taking all necessary precautions in view of Covid-19 pandemic and strictly adhering to SoP.

          Officials of the Unit voluntarily   underwent Yoga exercises with full concentration of minds and keen interest at the Lawns maintaining social distancing and wearing masks.

           Expert drill instructors (DIs ) who impart   physical  training to the Jawans at the Headquarters almost daily, subjected the Jawans to Yoga practices and thus an impressive Yoga abhyas took place that led to  calmness and curiosity among the officials.

             SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP 19th Battalion extending greetings to the officers and  Jawans as also to the public of Kathua on the occasion of International Yoga Day said that Yoga is the best preventive therapy for depression, addiction and many other diseases including Covid-19. He further said that due to depression and addiction to sedative drugs & alcohol, some persons especially youth are committing suicides that can be prevented if they adopt Yoga practices. Moreover, Yoga can pave way for complete drugs de-addiction, if practised on daily basis with conviction and interest, the Commandant added.

            Benam Tosh further hoped that after the Corona times, Yoga may be made medium to further strengthen Police -Public ties with a view to ultimately free the hectic society from all worries and tensions.
