Jammu, June 13: Following other leader, National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana sought restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir with guarantee for rights to lands and jobs to permanent residents.
He exhorted the cadre at Rajouri to gear up for a big role in the near future, as the people have greater expectations from the National Conference, which has a track record of public service and balanced development of all the regions besides welfare of all, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion.
Referring to the obtaining political situation, the Provincial President said the challenges are manifold and the response has to be pro-active for seeking a better life for the people by carving out a major role for them in the decision-making, which is the essence of democracy.
