CBT examination under PM Package concludes smoothly; 22,431 candidates appear; Accelerated Recruitment going on at full pace: JKSSB

JAMMU, Apr 06: The J&K Services Selection Board successfully conducts Computer Based Written Test (CBT) examination for 1997 posts advertised vide Advertisement Notification No.03 of 2020 dated: 01.12.2020 (PM Package for Migrant/Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits). 

The aforesaid examination was conducted in multiple batches from 29th March 2021 to 5th April 2021 at 10 examination venues in Jammu & Srinagar/Budgam. 26684 candidates were scheduled to appear in the CBT examination, out of which 22431 candidates appeared (84.06%) in the said examination. Post wise details of candidates who appeared in the aforesaid CBT is given as under:

The CBT Examination has been conducted smoothly, fairly and transparently with the active cooperation and support of District Administration of Srinagar, Jammu & Budgam districts of J&K UT including Police. A multi layered structure for supervision was established with one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate for each Examination Centre, in addition to the special Observer deployed by the J&K Services Selection Board.

The J&K Services Selection Board endeavours to conduct Examinations at the earliest possible opportunity in keeping with the essence of Accelerated Recruitment Drive in fair and transparent manner. So far, the J&K SSB has conducted examination/ test for more than 13,000 posts in the past five months despite constraints posed by variety of factors like COVID-19 pandemic, DDC elections, exceptionally harsh winters etc.

 It is also important to mention that Prohibitory Orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) were issued by District Magistrate Jammu/ Srinagar/Budgam around the Examination venues during the timing of examination. SoPs under COVID – 19 protocol are also being ensured during the conduct of CBT examination.
