Jammu, April 04: National Awami United Party demanded completely ban sale of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir Union territory Women wing District General Secretary of NAUP said, that government should ban sale of liquor in Jammu as well as Kashmir keeping in view of its consuming as mostly people abusing and fighting with their family members and commit heinous crime.
She added, that liquor is a curse in the society.
We must come together and thwart this menace. If govt ban liquor in Gujarat, Bihar, Mizoram, Nagaland and Lakshyadeep union Territories why not ban in Jammu and Kashmir Union territory.
Centre government directly destroying the culture city of temples way back they talked about that liquor is the apple of discord ,destroying our youth and now Centre government is going to open- e- tendering and increasing the number of wine shops ,said sheikha Bandral.
We appealed Narinder Modi(PM)and Lt.Governor Manoj sinha that don't play with the life of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and immediately withdraw- e- tendering of liquor and put totally ban on sale and consumption of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir and save our youth she hoped.
A large of women activists were present on the occasion Renu Bala, Pushpa Kumari ,Anjali,sapna verma,kiran katoch and others.
