Two Held with Heroin at Chanderkote; SSP PD Nitya appeals to Public to support Police

Ramban, April 04: Continuing its war against drugs Ramban Police has arrested two persons at Chanderkot and recovered heroin like substance from their possession. 

According to reports Police Station Chanderkote after specific inputs regarding the movement of drug peddlers in the area constituted a team led by Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, PSI Ankush Bhau and PSI Sunil Singh under the direct supervision of SSP Ramban PD Nitya and Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma laid a check point at Chanderkote. 
 
During checking the team intervened a suspected vehicle (load carrier Tata 407) and recovered heroin like substance weighing 10 gms from the possession of the two occupants of the vehicle. They were immediately taken into custody and the vehicle was seized. The search was conducted in the presence of the magistrate, Saif Ullah Shah. 
The accused have been identified as Nazir Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi resident of Ghagwal Parnot and Reyaz Ahmed son of Gulab Din resident of Bhati Metra Teh and Distt Ramban. 
A case FIR No 25/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been initiated which are in progress. 
SSP Ramban, PD Nitya, has appealed the locals to support Ramban Police in its war against drugs which is spoiling the young generation. She appealed the locals to inform nearby police station in case they find any suspect or person involved in drug related activities. She reiterated her commitment to eradicate drugs from the society.
