Jammu: A hardcore criminal cum absconder namely Ajeet Singh S/O Sarwan Singh R/O Chatha Farm, Satwari Distt. Jammu who was evading his arrest since 2010 in famous Narwal Mandi double murder case, has been arrested. He was hiding somewhere in Nepal and came to Jammu just day before yesterday.
The arrest has been made in Case FIR no. 24/10 U/S 302/147/148/149/120-B/201 RPC of PS Bahu Fort.
His arrest warrant U/S 512 Crpc was issued by Hon’ble Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu. It is pertinent to mention that apart from this FIR, there were 09 FIRs registered against him in Jammu district out of which 08 were registered in PS Satwari and one in PS Domana. Out of the 9 FIRs, three were of murder cases, two of Explosive Substances Act, 3/25 Act and three of attempt to murder.
Jammu Police was looking for the person from last ten years. Finally, an information was received through reliable sources that the criminal has returned from Nepal and came to Jammu just day before yesterday. Acting quickly on the information, a special police team of P/S Bahu Fort was constituted. The team led by Inspr. Deepak Pathania raided the suspected locations and arrested the criminal.
Further investigation is going on to enquire about various activities the criminal has been involved into since 10 years.
