Jammu, Jan 06: Additional Sessions Judge Rajouri Kusoom Pandita has awarded life-imprisonment to father and son in murder case.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed that while sentencing a convict, the underlying principle to be kept in mind is that showing undue sympathy in favour of the convicts as compared to the societal interests, is not desirable and the appropriate sentence, commensurate the gravity of the act of the offence, should be imposed, which may also serve as a deterrent
