MoU signed between NBCC & J&K IT IDC for establishing IT Towers at Jammu/Srinagar

Jammu, Jan 04:  A, MoU signed between NBCC & J&K IT Infrastructure Development Company for establishing IT Towers at Jammu & Srinagar at a cost of Rs. 50 crore each.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha sets deadline of 15 months & 17 months for completion of the towers at Jammu & Srinagar, respectively.

LG Manoj Sinha said :The development of IT infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir would go a long way in creating a conducive environment for Startups, economic growth and creation of employment opportunities."

The Lt Governor observed that the growth of the IT sector is absolutely imperative for economic growth and for creation of gainful employment opportunities; asked the executing agencies to incorporate scope for future expansion of the projects.

UT Government is working with a vision to promote latest scientific and technology driven innovations to make J&K self-reliant,  LG further said.

Advisor Baseer Khan, CS BVR Subrahmanyam and Comm/Sec Industries Manoj Dwivedi were present on the occasion.
