Samba, Jan 03: Police seized seven vehicles, which were engaged in illegally transporting of construction material and mining. As per police sources, a team from Police Station Ghagwal during checking at Tapyal seized four vehicles, which were illegal transporting construction material followed by a team from Police Station Ramgarh Police during patrolling seized a tractor for illegally transporting construction material & a team from Police Station Vijaypur seized a tipper for illegal transporting construction material followed by a tractor at Purmandal area.
However, all the 6 vehicles were seized and cases entrusted to Geology and Mining Department, Samba for further action.
Reportedly, this kind of practices have been enhanced after taking over the charge by the new DMO, who do not prefer to stay at his HQ to bring efficiency by having surprise checks, otherwise proper planning/inspections by the boss of the department could have a check on these kind of illegal activities, otherwise which is part of his duties, which is a matter of concern & to be checked by getting his residence rent slip at HQ.
It is also a matter of concern to see, what efforts he had done from the date taken over the charge of district to regularize such illegalities to ease the public.
