JAMMU, Sep 01: Mandeep Kour (IAS) who took over as Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Jammu last week has shown her presence in the department & public both with in days.
She had done exemplary works as Deputy Commissioner, Kathua and was immediately posted in Union Health Ministry on deputation. After returning back from her deputation, she has been assigned with such a prestigious post to curb violations of turning residential buildings to commercials in the posh colonies of Jammu . However lot of commercial activities were promoted by one of the commissioner, JMC, which can be seen in and around Jammu but innocents were not allowed permissions of their plans, Lot of which may be still waiting for their outcome, in STP section, which are withheld in violation of Municipal Bye Laws of 2011, as in Chapter 3.
Seizure of some illegal constructions of some influential on the instructions of present Commissioner Mandeep, JMC had shaken the others, who were planning to do so with the settlements as done earlier. Such actions had breathed the innocents, who have to live comfortable in their houses but were put under pressure by the muscle powers for commercial constructions in their adjoining causing nuisance. The staff, who were responsible for these violations are in tension as earnings stopped.
Mandeep directed her staff to work with zeal & dedications for the welfare of public. It was appreciated by the public on her assurance to visit every ward in Municipal Limit to sort out the public grievance. People hope are on height that now their problems lying in JMC since a long may be solved.
